A sleek pair of French 1960s fauteuil armchairs, with striking carved frames: a quadripartite interlacement band moves around the back, yielding at the arm to reeding—framing palmettes—that returns to the interlacement style atop the front feet. Rear canted legs add to the sleek silhouette, which is covered in a light stained finish; distressing shows off the warm wood tones of the frame. Chic caning on seat and chair-back; chairs can be used as they are or thin cushions could be added.
